Welcome to our Freaky Things series. These caches are placed along the Apollo Bay Foreshore walk, starting at the Surf Club and ending at Wild Dog Road. It’s a 2.5km walk along the beautiful Apollo Bay.
I hate ants. Especially the big meat ants that tend to think you are food. On a few occasions we have had to fight them for a cache, and although each time we have won the fight we have come away with a few war wounds. Or NT green ants who climb trees and then drop on you with no warning. Not pleasant! No-one knows how many ants there are in the world. Scientists claim they number 100 trillion, and suggest the total weight of ants equals the total weight of humans.
You’re looking for a small tube. Please conceal the cache well after logging as it is a high muggle area.
