Welcome to Opacum Woods!
Opacum Woods is a 266 acre conservation area owned and stewarded by the Opacum Land Trust, and containing about four miles of hiking trails. Donated in June 2003 by Robert Moss & Brendon Properties. Opacum Woods offers woodland ponds, wetlands, vernal pools, historic and prehistoric sites, and habitat for both rare and common species.
The trails consist of one large loop with a dividing trail in the middle. The south end of the loop has a trail leading to an alternative parking spot that is not often used. The western parking trail is a .5 lead into the loop with it's own .3 miles trail heading to the tip of a pennisula.
All caches are bison tubes placed with permission of the Opacum Wood Trust.
