NEDERLANDS: Het Casino van Gompel is naar mijn mening één van de mooiste gebouwen van Mol. Zoals ik het mij kan herinneren staat het jammer genoeg al een jaar of twintig te verkommeren. Volgens mijn kinderen wonen er nu spoken, vandaar het idee om dit 'spook' hier te leggen. In het gebouw kon u vroeger makkelijk binnen geraken, nu staat er sinds geruime tijd een hek rond. Heden is het privé bezit en verboden om te betreden, respecteer dit dan ook aub. Een korte historiek van het casino. Het gebouw werd in 1925 gebouwd in art deco-stijl volgens de ene en Biedermeierstijl volgens de andere. Ik ben zelf geen kenner, feit is dat het een knap gebouw is. Het is beschermd bouwkundig erfgoed sinds 29.03.2019 en een beschermd monument sinds 30.11.2010 (bron: https://inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/52843). Aanvankelijk deed het dienst als een fabriekshotel en cultureel evenementencenter voor de werknemers van de nabije glasfabriek (deze fabriek heeft u gezien - WP 1 tot en met 4). Het werd als laatst gebruikt als discotheek, nadien stond het leeg en zijn er heel wat krakers langs gekomen. Dit heeft het gebouw weinig goed gedaan. Recentelijk heeft ene Lawrence De Belder het gebouw aangekocht en hij wil er terug het casino van vroeger van maken, ik wens hem hierbij alle succes. Op termijn kan u dus ook terug binnen een kijkje gaan nemen. Ik ben alvast benieuwd! Hoe deze virtual geocache loggen? Eerst de zes simpele vragen beantwoorden, u vervangt ABCDEFGHIJKLM door uw antwoorden en mailt deze naar ABCDEFGHIJKLM@gmail.com, ALS ONDERWERP GEBRUIKT U UW GEOCACHING NAAM! U ontvangt onmiddellijk antwoord als de oplossing correct is, anders zal u een foutboodschap ontvangen... Aan het casino is er geen logboekje, dus graag een foto van uzelf aan het casino (uiteraard hoeft u niet herkenbaar te zijn) of een attribuut uit het casino met in de achtergrond het casino en neen GPS'en horen niet thuis in het casino :-) .
ENGLISH: The 'Casino of Gompel', I find it one of the most beautiful buildings of Mol. As I can remember, it has been in decay here for twenty years now. According to my children ghosts live here now in the building, this is why I had the idea to put this 'ghost' here. How to log this virtual geocache? First answer the questions, replace ABCDEFGHIJKLM with your answers mail the answers to ABCDEFGHIJKLM@gmail.com. USE AS SUBJECT YOUR CACHE NAME! If your answers are correct you'll see it very quickly, if not, you'll receive a message from your mailing program. At ground zero is no logbook, so take a picture of yourself at the casino (off course you don't have to be recognizable) or you can take a picture of a casino attribute, with in the background the casino, and no: GPS's don't belong to the casino :-) .
