Knez Mihailova street is a pedestrian zone and shopping center - protected by law as one of the oldest and most valuable monumental complexes of the city, with a large number of representative buildings and urban houses.
It goes from Kalemegdan (central park and fortress) to the Republic Square (main central square), and continues to Terazije square.
After the making of the regulation plan of Belgrade in 1867, by urbanist Emilijan Josimović, the street has soon been built and gained its physionomy and content. In 1870, the city authorities officially gave a name to this street - Ulica Kneza Mihaila.
Knez Mihailova is home to many national and international culture institutions (Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Centre Culturel Français, Instituto Cervantes and Goethe institute…).
There is something here for all ages, budgets and tastes. All the way from the Republic Square to Kalemegdan you can find many shops, cafés and street sellers with their small stands, selling souvenirs and snacks.
There are many restaurants, local retail shops, souvenir and map kiosks, banks, money exchanges, even business offices.
The architecture in the street is a mixture of many of the styles featured in Belgrade, starting with lower buildings near Kalemegdan, and rising slowly towards Terazije and the Albanija palace, the highest building in the street.
To log this cache you have to visit Knez Mihailova street.
At cache location take a picture of Emilijan Josimović memorijal. It is not necessary that you are at a picture, but it must be obvious that you made this picture.
Then take a liitle walk to Virtual stage 01 and count your steps. There you will found a small pyramid.
In your log you have to attach a picture and write a number of steps between two locations.
