This cache was placed as part of "Pakrac 2019. / Same... but different..." event.

Prekopakra je najveće selo u pakračkom kraju. Kako mu ime kaže nalazi se preko (rijeke) Pakre, no s vremenom je od iste odmaknuto, a na to mjesto "zasjeo" je grad - i kapela sv. Ivana Nepomuka (cache ste našli?) pripadala je Prekopakri.
Tradiciju i običaje kao i već pomalo zaboravljenu ikavicu čuvaju KUD Seljačka sloga i Česka beseda obzirom da je u selu dosta Čeha.

Prekopakra is the largest village in the Pakrac area. As its name says, it is located on the other side (preko) of the river Pakra, but over time the both banks were taken by the town and Prekopakra was "pushed" away - the chapel of st. Ivan Nepomuk (have you foudn the cache?) was once part of it as well.
Traditions and customs as well as the somewhat forgotten ikavica dialekt are kept by Heritage societies Seljačka sloga and Česka beseda as there are a lot of Czechs in the village.
