The Chinchilla Weir was opened in 1973 to serve as the water source for Chinchilla and to supply irrigation water for the local farms along the Condamine. It’s a green oasis, and is home to many birds, fish, and free campers. The reserve is a popular destination for boating, canoeing and fishing when the water time is right. When the weir gets too low, you can walk out to the island in the middle of the reserve. This cache requires the finder to be a little bit stealthy!
