It's hard to believe that just over five years ago, Simon and I hadn't even heard of geocaching. Now, not a week goes by without us going out in (just about) any weather. We've both made some good friends over the years, filled in our 366 grids, D/T grids, cached at home and abroad, completed a GeoTour, been to numerous events, megas and CITOs, oh my! Simon's even completed the nationwide Little Quest series.
So we'd like to celebrate this hobby that's taken over our lives by hosting an event.
Where?
The Moorlands, Owler Bar, Baslow Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S17 3BQ.
Positioned on the south west corner of Sheffield this is easily accessible to both the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire/East Midlands caching community.
The venue is easily accessible by road with ample free parking, and for those using public transport, bus number 218 operates regularly between Bakewell, Chatsworth and Sheffield City Centre.
When?
Sunday, 10th March 2019, 13:00 - 15:00.
We have chosen a lunchtime meet to accommodate anyone with morning or afternoon commitments, so that you have the opportunity to pop in just before or after, if a quick chat and dash suits, or join us for lunch if you can stay longer.
What to expect?
Come and join us for lunch, drink or just pop in! We have an area booked, there's a great roast dinner carvery along with all the usual pub classics, burgers, pizzas and baguettes. The menus can be found on the Moorlands website.
For those dining, please comment in your log how many will be eating so that we can make sure the area is big enough for us all to be seated together.
