Geocache Description:

Well it is nearly the end of 2018,  and it will soon be 2019, but we are still in the middle of the festive season between Christmas and Hogmanay. So why not come and celebrate what is good about friendship, geocaching and Halifax. Myself and my good friends FM1906 and EavesClan welcome you to join us for  drink of Glühwein up high above Calderdale  on the Crags  at the Albert Promenade, which is in the Skirfare area of Halifax, where hopefully we will see the sun setting over Calderdale for one of the last times in 2018.

smileySo come along, onto the crag, share good cheer, friendship, and raise a drink to friendship and adventures new in the coming year. Shake a hand, embrace and look to the west as hopefully we will catch the golden glow of the sun, as it drops, with the golden glow of Glühwein warming you from the inside.

smileyWe shall provide the welcome, the Glühwein and mince pies.

smileyIf you want to bring your own cup, mug, tankard, glass or beaker you can, but we will also provide some.

smileyAll are welcome, be you from Yorkshire, or further afield such as the land over the hill (Lancashire) or the north or south.

smileyThe event will last from 1530 to 1610, on the 30/12/2018, and will last a minimum of 30 minutes.

smileyThe welcome will be  good, and the Glühwein will be warm.

Be aware that the event is taking place on an exposed crag with drops, so you need to be able to look after yourself, you will also need a torch, as once the sun sets it will be dark. If you bring a child or animal please keep them close to hand for their own safety.

If you intend to come, please log an attend, so that we can prepare the correct amount of Glühwein and number of home made  mince pies, we don't want anyone to come and not be able to fully enjoy the experience.

The caching community in West Yorkshire is a friendly one, so whether you are an experienced cacher or new to the activity, come along, everyone is welcome.

Halifax is well served by the motorway nearby and access to the location is easy to get to.
