Horace Kephart (September 8, 1862 – April 2, 1931) was a writer of his experiences in the Smoky Mountains and wrote the classic guide for many outdoorsmen, Camping and Woodcraft. His books and guides have been very influencial in the area of Woodcraft, which is a sub group of the general area of outdoor skills.
