Geocache Description:

Let’s play some POKER!!  Our game board is going to be downtown Monroe.

First though, we need some ground rules.  This geocache is a FIELD PUZZLE.  You’re not going to be able to find the answers on the Internet.  You will have to physically visit each stage.  This geocache is NOT suitable for night-time caching.  The final, especially, can only be found during daylight hours.  The cache is not located at the listed coordinates.  The coordinates listed are for suggested parking only.  You can park elsewhere if you choose.  It won’t affect the game at all.  The puzzle stages can be done in any order.  It will not matter which one you visit first, or in what order you get the results.

Now, then let’s discuss the specifics.  You are going to play poker.  The goal is to create the best possible 5 card poker hand at each stage that you visit.  When you have created all hands, you will need to determine the BEST hand … and the WORST hand for this game.

At each stage you will find a series of numbers (from 6 to 11 digits).  Take the numbers that you find and create the best 5 card poker hand.  There are no Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks or 10’s in our game.  Zero is always low.  So the best hand that one could possibly have would be 9-9-9-9-9.  The worst possible hand would be 0-1-2-3-5.  There are no flushes or straight flushes in our game.  Use all of the numbers in a set even when the set is hyphenated. For example, a phone number of 937-525-2165 has 10 digits that can be used.  The best hand for this example is a full house of fives over twos.  For this puzzle, list the best hand numbers IN THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY OCCUR.  For example, in the phone number that was just listed, the correct hand sequence is 5-2-5-2-5.  This is what you will use to solve for the final coordinates.

It is imperative that all seven (7) stages are visited to be sure that all poker hands are created. Once you have determined the best (or the “winning”) hand AND the very worst hand, all other hands are eliminated.

When you have the 5 card winning hand, the first number in order is A, the second number is B, etc.  This A-B-C-D-E sequence will be used to solve the North coordinates for the final cache.  The 5 card worst hand will be V-W-X-Y-Z when using the order sequence as described previously.  This sequence will be used to solve the West coordinates for the final cache.  By the way … the final cache is an ammunition box!  You can walk to the final or move you vehicle if you wish.

You will not need to enter any place of business.  You will not need to sign anything at any virtual stage.  You only need to find the appropriate set of numbers.  Some are phone numbers … some are dates … some are identifiers.  Each stage has a hint that will guide you to the appropriate number. Some of the "spots" may have more than one set of numbers. It is IMPERATIVE that you check the HINT to be sure that you are collecting the correct set of numbers to make the poker hand!!

Clear as mud???  Sure it is!!  After all it’s just basic POKER!!

Final Cache Coordinates:

N     33  (A*5) + (B-1)    .  (C-3)      (D-E)      (C+1)

W  083  (V*6) + (W+5)  .  (X+1)       (Y+2)      (Z-6)

UPDATE (02/04/2019): There have been problems with Hand 4. So today, it has been changed. There are new waypoint coordinates and a hint. Please remember that you are caching among some 2 and 3 story buildings. Coordinates may bounce a bit. All information above still applies and the numbers you need for Hand 4 should be readily obvious.

And most importantly …. Be safe!!  Happy Hunting!!

OH ... And a HINT for the final cache:  The log should be easy to find!
