Picnic by The Gorge Traditional Cache

The Cataract Gorge is a beautiful gem only 15 minutes from Launceston's city centre. It has walking trails of varying degrees and play equipment (currently being upgraded) as well as two pools open during the warmer months. With plentyy of grounds to explore and wildlife to see. We have placed this cache at the head of a trail that leads to an inclinator down to the First Basin. This first part of the track is easy and easily accessible with pram or wheelchair. The cache is up high so a little climbing will be necessary. It is a magnetic cache. There is parking close by however gates are closed at 10pm so if attempting this around then you will need to park outside the gate and stroll in. There is also a small parking fee Mon-Sun 9am-5pm except public holidays. This can be a high muggle area. Bring a pen.
