To really appreciate the vast Monaro and Snowy Mountains a visit to the Mt Gladstone lookout is a must. Located only 3.5km west of Cooma, the lookout offers unsurpassed views of the Monaro Plains, the extinct volcanos called ‘The Brothers’ and the Snowy Mountains. This cache is near one of two easily accessible lookout platforms. Picnic and toilet facilities are also available.
Mount Gladstone is a major 'communications' node with a variety of communications towers on its summit at an elavation of approximately 1080 m.
Mount Gladstone is also home to about 7km of well maintained singletrack and at least another 3km of singletrack that you can find by exploring fpr mountain bike enthusiasts as well as a regular hill climb event for motoring enthusiasts.
