Applying Geocaching to Education
This cache is a part of a pedagogic European Erasmus + project called « Geocaching - Minds on the Move ». Pupils and teachers from seven different countries (France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain) have used Geocaching as an Educational Tool. We hope you’ll enjoy it.

L’originaria chiesa di S. Marco, costruita nel 1266, di cui sono stati recentemente restaurati degli stupendi affreschi, che rappresentano l’ Albero di Jesse, la Vita di S. Agostino e episodi dai Vangeli apocrifi, diventò per un breve periodo mercato cittadino coperto, la cui facciata è opera di G. Locarni, e attualmente ospita lo spazio espositivo ARCA, fiore all’occhiello del città.

This cache is part of a 7 cache trail in the historic center of Vercelli. You can discover them in sequence or choose the ones you prefer.
The original church of San Marco was built in 1266. Inside, some splendid frescoes have recently been restored, representing the Tree of Jesse, the Life of St. Augustine and episodes from the apocryphal Gospels. The church hosted for a short period the covered city market, whose facade is the work of G. Locarni. Currently it houses the ARCA exhibition area, the pride of the city.
