Parish church situated at the end of a long drive.
St John the Baptist church dates mainly from 1860 but it retains features of an earlier church. It has a Perpendicular (1180AD to around 1520AD) west tower and medieval piers, arcade arches and corbels of the tower arch. The list of incumbents dates from 1280.
The Little Carlton war memorial brass plaque hangs in the church. It was moved to the Church of St John the Baptist in 1993 when the Church of St Edith in Little Carlton was demolished.
There handsome marble and mosaic reredos of 1890 with good stained glass windows.
