Geocache Description:

Be Respectful - This is an easy find in a tree at the back of the cemetery

Take a few minutes to view the gravestones near the church, they mark the resting place of some of the early United Empire Loyalists and settlers on Yeo Lake.

A little history... Yeo Lake was the Loyalist name for West Lake.  It was named after British Commodore, Sir James Lucas Yeo.  Yeo was one of the actual historical officers on whom C S Foster modeled his fictional naval hero Horatio Hornblower.

During that time, East Lake was called Spence Lake, after Naval Lieut. Henry F. Spence.
