Chorus Frogs commonly known as Spring Peepers, Chorus Frogs are nocturnal insectivores. They grow to be 1.5 inches long and have toe pads for climbing trees, however they prefer living on the ground. Chorus Frogs mature around 3 years of age and will breed between March and June producing 800-1000 eggs per female in shallow ponds. They have a life span of 3-4 years. They live in damp wooded areas, fields and grassy ponds. They hibernate during the winter in soft mud, under logs or in loose tree bark.
