Geocache Description:

Triskaidekaphobia

is the fear of the number 13

Do you have triskaidekaphobia? Many people do. They won't associate themselves with the number 13. They say it's bad luck. It has been said that some hotels refused to have or list a 13th floor. Other events or beliefs in history include the Judas Theory: where some believe  Judas, the disciple who betrayed Jesus, was the 13th to sit at the table, or the Hammurabi theory, where  in the Babylonian Code of Hammurabi (circa 1780 BC), where the 13th law is said to be omitted. The Vikings believed that Loki was the 13th god in the Norse pantheon—more specifically, Loki was believed to have engineered the murder of Balder and was the 13th guest to arrive at the funeral.

In history, Apollo 13 was launched on April 11, 1970 at 13:13:00 CTS and suffered an oxygen tank explosion on April 13th. On, October 131307, the arrest of the Knights Templar was ordered by Phillip IV of France. And others too numerous to list.
