Two weeks before many New York Geocachers will be traveling to Coney Island in Cincinnati, Ohio lets have our own event at the real Coney Island! Rollercosters, Freakshows, Beaches, Boardwalks, Aquariums, HotDogs, Breweries, Baseball, (some abandoned death trap of a tower) we have it all right here. 5,000 people?... please this is NYC there will be 5,000 people in line for the bathroom.
Make a full Day of it, between the Amusements rides, carnivals, museums and the beach there is a ton to do for the whole family. In the afternoon we will meet for a group photo, travlebug trade and log signing. If you have any travle bug items you wish to go to Ohio you can drop them off here. Expect some new caches to be published that day as well as a Photo Scavenger hunt #NYCgeocaching that will be going on all day, rules below.

Photo Hunt: #GeoConey (All Day)
- Take some great geocaching themed photo of your day at Coney Island, post on either Instagram using the #NYCgeocaching tag or post onto the NYCgeocaching Facebook book page, or you may post them in you log for this event.
- All who post photos before 4pm will win a Billycock (Durby) Hat to keep and wear in the Official Event Photo.
Letterboxing: (4:00pm - 4:30pm)
- New York's own @theletterboxer will be present with The Haunted Traveling Letterbox (TB8NJRW). Do you have a personal letterbox log book? This is a perfect opportunity to start one! Check out the traveling letterbox’s TB page for a full list of stamps.
Giga Goods (4:00pm - 4:30pm)
- *Jeremy* , an official GeoWoodstock Ambassador, will be on hand, answering questions and giving out GeoWoodstock Giga Swag.
- Do you have any trackable items you would like to go to the giga? Nessieboombatz will be on hand to collect any travel bug wishing to be dropped in Ohio. If not already attached, Nessieboombatz has offered to make each trackable a info sheet to ensure accurate identification of its goal at and after the Giga.
Group Photo: 4:30pm
- 4:30pm we will assemble near the posted cords for the official group photo.
After Party: 5:30pm to 7:00pm

- Besides the great geocaches already in the neighborhood, expect several new caches to be published this morning! FTF

We have reserved two picnic tables in the biergarten and will be having a private tour of the Brewery for Geocachers only!
How will they know you are a geocacher? because you'll be wearing a Derby Hat just like George C. Tilyou. Wear a hat or just tell them you are a geocaching with any purchase. There might also be some additional hats to hand out. (but no purchase is needed to attend)

How To Get to Coney Island
Coney Island is located in the southernmost part of Brooklyn. If you are using Google Maps or a gps, you can use the address 1208 Surf Avenue.
By Train:
Take the D, Q, N or F train to Stillwell Avenue. This takes about 45 - 60 minutes from midtown Manhattan.
By Car:
Take the Belt Parkway to exit 6. Head south on Cropsey Avenue to West 17th Street. MCU Park and the Parachute Jump will be in front of you on Surf Avenue. Metered Parking is available along most streets. There are commercial parking lots on West 17th Street at MCU Park and West 12th Street between Mermaid and Surf, West 15th Street between the Boardwalk and Surf and on Neptune Avenue between West 12th and Stillwell Avenue.
