The Old Beer Road first started to disappear in the summer of 2012. Since then more has fallen away leaving a massive hole down to the sea.
As a consequence of the landslip the coast path had to be diverted inland for a short stretch before re-joining the original route at Seaton Hole. At low tide you can follow the beach from Seaton to Seaton hole, however this will mean retracing your steps to find the cache.
From the location of the cache you can see Beer Head to the west and, on a clear day, you can see Portland Bill to the east.
