I heard about a podcast that came out this year called S*town. Everyone was talking about it! It was all over Facebook, the internet, & they were even talking about it on some of the TV Talk shows! I've never listened to a podcast but then I heard it was about a little place called Woodstock, Alabama. WHAT!? NO WAY! That's only about 10 minutes from where I grew up! These were my old stomping grounds!
So, I decided to listen to it & see what it was all about. I got completely caught up in it & was hooked! I listened to all 7 hrs. of it in about 2 days & then felt lost when it was over.
A few months later, we were on a kayaking/caching adventure in Tennessee & met a fellow cacher by the name of Bubblehead653. S*town got brought up, & as it turns out, he was a fan too! So we were talking about it, I told him that I was from down that way & he says,"You should put a cache down there & name it S*town!" I thought that was a great idea! I decided to make it a series of caches! I've got to give a shout out of thanks to Bubblehead653 for the idea!
You can park within 10 ft of the cache, but be careful. There is very high muggle activity, especially on weekends! People set up in the vacant lot nearby to sell things, like a big yard sale! Including my own dad!
