After going through the kissing gate you are now on the 'Severn Way' footpath.  You should be able to see across to Wales and the Forest of Dean and see the 2 Severn Bridges plus the top of the Wye Bridge in this commanding 180° view.  The Severn Estuary has a large tidal range which means that vast areas of mud flats are exposed at low tide giving a rich feeding ground for wading birds.  It has also been designated as a site of international importance.

Do not attempt to leave the footpath as the embankment and the mud flats can be very dangerous.

For #4 follow the footpath to the left alongside the Power Station perimeter fence and the river.
