The Rock
The refuge Victor Emmanuel II (Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II) is the great shelter serving the normal way busy Gran Paradiso. Despite the daily presence of many lovers of the mountain of all levels, hikers, climbers and families, the well-oiled organization, and the effectiveness of the team in place make it very honourable hospitality and quite correct delivery. In addition, the site is exceptional at 2700 m in the heart of the Gran Paradiso Park, at the foot of the North of the Becca di Monciar and the Ciarforon faces.

Le refuge Victor Emmanuel II (Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II) est le grand refuge qui dessert la voie normale très fréquentée du Grand Paradis. Malgré la présence quotidienne de nombreux amoureux de la montagne de tous niveaux, randonneurs, alpinistes et familles, l'organisation rodée, et l'efficacité de l'équipe en place rendent l'accueil très honorable et la prestation tout à fait correcte. Le site est de plus exceptionnel à 2700 m au cœur du parc du Grand Paradis, au pied des faces Nord de la Becca di Monciar et du Ciarforon.
A l'occasion de l'ascension de notre premier 4000, nous poserons une boite avec une superbe vue sur le refuge. La boite se trouve bien à l'abri sous les rochers (photo spoiler )
