Bicycles Chirp in this Park
A beacon is a device that transmits a wireless message, which must be used to find the geocache.
This CHIRP was programmed with a Garmin GPSr, and Must be read on a Garmin device.
The Android cell phone App will NOT return the correct information to find this cache.
Cache is NOT at posted coordinates - You will need to come here with a Garmin device capable of receiving wireless instructions in order to find the near-by final (less than 200m).
The Happy Bee and I enjoy going for bike rides around town, and this path takes us through Black's Park in Owen Sound.
Years ago, this was a lovely manicured park, with beautiful birch trees and picnic tables. In fact, RubberRabbit and I had our wedding photos taken in this park (a few years ago). The park has since been re-designated, and away went the grass and tables. Now, it is just part of the Niagara Escarpment with trail access up over the escarpment to the West Rocks and the Bruce Trail above. But there is still a nice little path for bicycling as a short-cut into the sub-division behind.
In 2010 we placed the 5th Bicycle cache "Bicycles Parking" in this area, but GZ has deteriorated too much, and we were forced to archive it.
Now, this cache is number 8 in our Owen Sound "Bicycle" series. It is a 1 litre medium sized lock'n'lock container with room for different trading items.
This cache has been placed by a Mid Western Ontario Geocacher!
