Czy ktoś wie, że w dawnych czasach Kazimierz był wyspą? W średniowieczu król Kazimierz Wielki zdecydował wybudować w tym miejscu miasto otoczone murem z basztami i bramami, które jednak nie dotrwały do naszych czasów. Przez stulecia to miejsce było bardzo ważnym ośrodkiem kultury Żydów w Polsce. W XIX wieku zburzono mury miejskie, zasypano płynącą między Kazimierzem a Krakowem rzekę Wisłę (obecnie ul. Dietla) a Kazimierz został włączony do miasta Krakowa jako jedna z jego dzielnic. Wiek XX to II Wojna Światowa i kompletna dewastacja Kazimierza i jego mieszkańców. Nie wiele dotrwało do naszych czasów i to właśnie chciałem wszystkim pokazać.
Każdy kto przyjeżdża do Krakowa na pewno odwiedzi Kazimierz. Nie chcę kopiować przewodników turystycznych aby opisać to miejsce.
Aby zalogować tą skrytkę należy odwiedzić cztery miejsca i odpowiedzieć na następujące pytania.
1. Udaj się na współrzędne N50 03.098 E019 56.933 To co widzisz na miejscu, to są pozostałości murów obronnych miasta Kazimierz. Zmierz ich wysokość w tym miejscu.
2. Udaj się na współrzędne N50 03.048 E019 56.972 Znadujesz się przed wejściem do Muzeum Żydowskiego Galicja. Przy wejściach znajdują się kapsuły zwane Mezuzami. Umieszczane one były przy wejściu do domu ukośnie na wysokości ok. 2/3 portalu. Zawierały one zwinięty pergamin z cytatami z Tory. Miały przypominać domownikom o ciągłej obecności Boga. Podaj datę ufundowania kapsuł według kalendarza hebrajskiego
3. Na ulicy Szerokiej można znaleźć trzy miejsca, w których są bardziej lub mniej widoczne ślady po istniejących niegdyś Mezuzach. Pospaceruj wokół ulicy Szerokiej, która kiedyś była rynkiem miasta Kazimierz i odszukaj przynajmniej dwa takie miejsca. W odpowiedzi należy podać numer domu gdzie wmurowane były kiedyś pojemniki z Mezuzami
4. Na Kazimierzu znajdowały się liczne synagogi. Kilka z nich dotrwało do naszych czasów, choć podczas działań wojennych były one doszczętnie zniszczone. Na współrzędnych N50 03.164 E019 56.867 stoisz przed wejściem do drugiej najstarszej z nich, Synagogi Remu. Jest ona czynna do dziś jako dom modlitwy. Po lewej strone na wysokości ok. 3 metrów jest pewien napis. Odczytaj go i prześlij swoją odpowiedź.

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Does anyone know that in the old days Kazimierz was an island? In the Middle Ages, King Casimir the Great decided to build a town surrounded by walls with bastions and gates. Thoes however, did not survived to our times. For centuries this place was a very important center of Jewish culture in Poland. In the nineteenth century, the city walls were destroyed and the river Vistula (now Dietla St.) was flooded between Kazimierz and Cracow. Kazimierz was incorporated into the city of Cracow as one of its districts. The twentieth century was primarily the Second World War and the complete devastation of Kazimierz and its inhabitants. Not much has survived to our times and that's what I wanted to show to everyone..
Anyone who comes to Cracow will surely visit Kazimierz. I do not want to copy travel guides to describe this place.

1.Go to the coordinates N50 03.098 E019 56.933 What you see on the site are the remains of the city walls of Kazimierz. Measure their height here.
2. Go to the coordinates N50 03.048 E019 56.972 You are in front of the entrance to the Galicia Jewish Museum. At the entrances there are capsules called Mezuzots. They were placed at the entrance of the house diagonally at about 2/3 height of the portal. They contained rolled up parchments with Torah quotations. They were to remind the household of the constant presence of God. Specify the date of funding the capsules according to the Hebrew calendar
3. On Szeroka Street you can find three places where there are traces of the former Mezuzots. Some more visible groves some less visible. Take a stroll around Szeroka Street, which used to be the market square of Kazimierz and find at least two such places. 4. There were numerous synagogues in Kazimierz. Several of them survived to our day, although during wartime they were completely destroyed. At the coordinates N50 03.164 E019 56.867 you stand in front of the entrance to the second oldest, the Remu Synagogue. It is still active today as a prayer house.
