How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

On the canyon side of the skyway. Please be very careful getting on and off the skyway. Also be careful walking the edge of the cliff as it is a shear drop in some places.

Quick, easy cache. We wanted to hide a cache in place with easy access that also put one of our county treasures on display. This turn out is also known as Look-out point. The canyon was created by erosion and is the home of the Covered Bridge and Butte creek. The bonus feature of the cache location is that it doesn't involve intimate relationships with poison oak, stickers or mosquitos, though we can't say the same for snakes for sure. Be sure to stick around long enough to watch for birds of prey riding the uplifting thermals from the canyon.
