A traditional cache near a solitary roadside monument.
This stone had been a curiosity for me for many years. Until recently, the top spire had fallen off and the stone was hidden and overgrown. I was very happy to see that it had been fixed up and that it was being cared for. I do not know anything about Daniel Bolton but some quick research shows that the Bolton family had a farm in the area. Perhaps this grave was left intact and not moved to the cemetery just west of here. I will endeavour to find out.
