K4 REDO
Storms this season have taken down trees throughout this area as well as the caches hidden there. The original K4 needed replaced and this was an opportunity to replace it with one that is much more interesting. I think that this one is the best caches along this trail.
about the Kidd's Mill Trail series of caches.... I have tried to make these caches interesting and memorable. They are all different with sizes ranging from an ammo can to bison tubes. Some have very good camo and are moderately difficult, and may take a bit longer than your usual trail type caches. To help you move along, I have included hints and the cache page photos can be helpful.
about the trail... This was once a very good trail but now I would call it more of a forest path. It is at its best in the Spring and Fall. In the Summer, overgrowth covers the trail and the faded trail marks are hard to see. The caches are along the trail except for K1,K3 and K6 that were moved inland to avoid conflict with caches on the river. Be prepared for all the usual Pennsylvania woodland fun that includes; mosquitoes, ticks, poison ivy, mud and water crossings.
