Geocache Description:

Friday August 18th, 8.30-9.00 pm. (quiz @ 8.55)

Parking lot The Summit Inn

Greetings from Belgium, Europe.

Every year for the past so-many-years, I come to Portland for the Tektronix Sales University. It all started with my New Hire Training in Beaverton in 1996, and since then, I have been in Portland soooo many times. Last year, I've decided to spend my holiday with my family here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest area and shown my family where I am during that training week, shown them all the things I always tell them about.

This year there is the Total Eclipse of the Sun to see, so it was quickly decided we would come to Portland again. Cherry on the cake: the APE event in the weekend before the eclipse, not too far away from Portland. So our planning changed a bit, and yes, we will be 'going APE'.

Last year we hosted a nice little 'Meet and Greet - The Belgians' event at the OCC in Portland, and we will do so again this year.

(Tuesday Aug. 15, see https://coord.info/GC79PDN)

Why not host a second Meet and Greet with the local geocaching community, the night before the big APE event? So here we are...

Come and join us to say 'hi' and share some stories on our beloved hobby. Discover our trackables, and we will be happy to take some with us to Belgium, Europe, if you want them to get some distance. Just to make sure you know: Brussels is NOT the hell-hole of Europe ;-)

We will be at 8.30pm near the sign of the Snoqualmie Inn on the parking lot.

And like last year in Portland, we'll have a little fun here, too. So bring your geoaching tools !

I will host a little 'quiz' to check if you're a real geoacher. So bring your pen/pencil ! Did you bring your magnet? Tweezers, anyone? I have a whole list of (simple) items that are normally in your geocaching backpack. As long as you have the item I call out for, you're in... Don't have it? You're out. Last man/woman standing get's a small Belgian themed present.
