Geocache Description:

"OM Treasure" can be found just a few steps away from the busy centre of Ubud. As the original cache was stolen we had to change it. To find the cache, you need to enter the tourist information office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The box is in the big vase in the window. Don't be shy, just step in, say hello and grab the box.

If you need any assistance for the cache or your travels, feel free to just ask Arnd or Indah or anybody at the office.

No worries, you do NOT need to buy or book anything and NOBODY will try to sell anything!

These people are very friendly. You may sit down and have a little rest and a chat with them while signing the logbook and may even use the wifi for your online-log.

We would be happy if you tell us a bit about your travels and where you are from. Pictures are also very much appreciated.

----> Please remember to always trade fair!!! If you take something from the cache you must leave something as well!!! ;-) <----

About Ubud:

Ubud is considered as Bali's cultural heart. The town is located in the mountains in central Bali, just one hour's drive north of the airport and the resorts in southern Bali. You can find ancient temples and royal palaces as well as wonderful panoramas of green hillsides and rice terraces.

The villages around specialise in crafts and woodcarving which are sold in town and all over the island. There are hundreds of shops selling antiques, woodcarvings, crafts, textiles, paintings and jewellery.

There is much you can see and do in Ubud. The Puri Saren Royal Palace is just across the road from the Ubud Art Market. It’s then just a short walk down to the famous Ubud Monkey Forest. Other highlights such as the Goa Gajah temple, Tegenungan Waterfall and the beautiful rice terraces in Tegalalang are only a few kilometres away.

Ubud is also the perfect starting point for a day trip to all the famous spots around Bali such as stunning Mount Batur and its surroundings and the beautiful beaches.
