A career spanning on four decades and 50 film roles made of Jean Constantin one of the best loved Romanian actors. His comic talent and charisma made his career a success before and after 1989. His later years were marked by several apparitions in review performances, doing what he was doing best- comic monologues and duos. In 2003 Jean Constantin was awarded the special UNITER award for review theatre and a Magna Cum Laude distinction from the Filmmakers Union in Romania.
