Lhotse means “South Peak” in Tibetan. The mountain comprises the smaller peaks Lhotse Middle (East) and Lhotse Shar. [Wikipedia]
Located in the northern section of Avon Valley National Park. Access is via unsealed roads, mostly by 4WD, though regular 2WD cars could make it (as did I) with careful driving; but best avoided after heavy rainfall. Do keep alert during periods of extreme fire danger risk. Stay hydrated.
