This cache forms part of the 5 Bridges series, a series of 4 caches, all associated with bridges, scattered around NE Cumbria, each containing a clue leading to a bonus cache (GC5H09N). Our hope is that everyone who completes the series will have discovered at least one new place they haven't been to before (and be happy they did!). Each cache is in a location where there are walking options for those that want to make a trip of it.
This cache is a replacement for the original number 3 in the series which was at Lanercost Bridge until the hedge in which it was hidden was removed! It is a new cache so do feel free to still log it even if you have already done the original. Also, don't feel you have to do this one to get the bonus cache if you already got the clue from the original (though why wouldn't you want to!?) 
The cache is at a suspension bridge over the River Irthing near the village of Chapelburn (where there is usually parking available). It can be done as just a short walk from Chapelburn but we strongly recommend continuing West along the Irthing to Combcrag wood which is a lovely quiet woodland walk and the site of a Roman quarry. A nice round-trip can be made, taking in part of the Hadrians Wall walk.
The cache is a box within a box and the clue for the bonus is written in various places on the inner box. Please take care to replace the cache out of sight.
