This cache requires a 2.5 mile round trip hike if you choose to go there and back. Or you could continue along the MUT to reach the second Metro Parks GeoTrail cache hidden along this trail for a total hike of 3.8 miles. Note: While the majority of the hike is on a paved trail, a bit of bushwhacking will be needed to get to the cache. If you choose to bike this trail, please note that bikes can only ride counterclockwise on the trail, so you might as well find the other GeoTrail cache first and then find this one second! What’s black and white, comes out at night and is often smelled before it’s seen? That’s right… a skunk! Skunks often get a bad rap, but these furry mammals use their odiferous smell as a defense mechanism, and it’s a good one too. Skunks are able to accurately spray their musk up to 12 feet away!
