Chermside "drive-in" shopping centre did not commence it's life as the sprawling behemoth you see before you these days.

It was the first drive in shopping centre in not only Brisbane but Australia and the Southern Hemisphere as well.

It was opened to cater to the needs of the rapidly expanding community due to a combination of post war immigration, the construction boom and the settlement of Chermside by returning WWII service veterans.

It was described by a local newspaper at the time as "An island of retailing in a lake of parking!" (it's more of a maelstrom of congestion these days)

Within a few years similar shopping centres had opened in suburban Sydney and Melbourne.

You will need to use the internet to find answers to the two questions below.  There are several websites which will give you the answers you need.

Cache is a painted eclipse tin - contains a log book and a pencil.

Puzzle is an easy one, just some simple algebra. Difficulty increased slightly as you may need to time your grab between waves of driving and walking muggles.

There is a trackable geotag prize for the FTF - Happy Hunting!

Congratulations to 1MinnieMoo on the FTF
