[ITA] La torre e lo Spire
Il caratteristico e iconico Spire (la guglia) della Torre Cesar Pelli, detta anche Torre Unicredit, ha un'altezza di circa 85 metri ed è stato assemblato pezzo per pezzo grazie ad un potente elicottero e ad un gruppo di operai specializzati il 15 ottobre 2011.
Con questa guglia la torre raggiunge i 231 metri ed è la più alta struttura d'Italia !!!
Dal punto di vista strutturale si tratta di una spirale che tende ad assottigliarsi verso l'alto. La sua presenza in posizione eccentrica rispetto al baricentro dell'edificio ha comportato notevoli studi di staticità sull'impatto del vento e degli agenti atmosferici che hanno portato a realizzarlo in acciaio traforato, così da evitare la formazione di ghiaccio

Essendo interamente rivestito di led, oltre che avere una costante illuminazione notturna, può assumere diverse colorazioni a seconda della ricorrenza: durante il periodo natalizio del 2013 era illuminato di verde a rappresentare un albero di natale, il 1º marzo 2014 era illuminato di lilla in occasione dell'apertura delle fermate Isola e Porta Garibaldi FS dellalinea M5 e nella notte tra il 14 ed il 15 giugno 2014 era illuminato di rosso per celebrare i 150 anni di Croce Rossa Italiana.
Una delle combinazioni possibili ricalca il Tricolore Italiano. Inoltre la sera del 14 novembre 2015 la sua guglia era illuminata con i colori della bandiera francese per ricordare le vittime dell'attentato allo Stade de France e al Teatro Bataclan di Parigi, avvenuto la sera prima.
Il 13 Giugno 2016 è stata illuminata con i colori della bandiera arcobaleno per ricordare le 49 vittime della strage di Orlando in Florida.

The distinctive and iconic Spire (the spire) of Cesar Pelli, AKA Unicredit Tower, has a height of about 85 meters and has been assembled piece by piece with a powerful helicopter and a group of skilled workers 15 October 2011.
With this spire tower reaches 231 meters and is the highest in Italy !!!
From the structural point of view it is a spiral that tends to taper upwards. Its presence in an eccentric position with respect to the center of gravity of the building has resulted in considerable studies on the impact of static wind and atmospheric agents which have led to realize it in perforated steel, so as to avoid the formation of ice

Being entirely covered with LEDs, in addition to having a constant night lighting, it can take on different colors depending on the occasion: during the Christmas season of 2013 was lit green to represent a Christmas tree, on 1 March 2014 was lit lilac at the opening of the stops Island and Porta Garibaldi FS dellalinea M5 and on the night between 14 and 15 June 2014 was illuminated in red to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Italian red Cross. One of the possible combinations follows the Italian Tricolore. Also on the evening of November 14, 2015 its spire was illuminated with the colors of the French flag to remember the victims of the attack at the Stade de France and at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris, which took place the night before. The June 13, 2016 has been illuminated with the colors of the rainbow flag to remember the 49 victims of the massacre in Orlando Florida.
