Alex's First Version 2 Traditional Cache

After the first version of Alex's First disappeared, it has taken us some time replace it. It is a couple hundred meters down from the original hiding spot. It is a camoflaged vitamin cylinder containing a log book and a toy cow for trading. It can contain small trading items and TB's. PLEASE BYOP. Alex (who is 4 years old) is placing version 2 of Alex's First. At the time of replacement of this cache, Alex and his Dad had found 111 geocaches. This cache is placed in one of the green bellts in the Weltevreden Park area. This stretch of green belt between Jim Fouche and Cockspur is maintained by the residents association. In 2015 and 2016 residents have put up various swings in various locations in this stretch. Look out for the bamboo swings closer to Rooihout Street and the big wooden swings near Hyacinth Street. People come from all over to walk their dogs here. Cyclists ride through here quite often as well. We have enjoyed coming down here as a family, spending time walking along the river esepcially in the shade of the willow trees higher up in the green belt. It can be very busy at times and then very quiet, so stealth will be required when busy. Residents in the area are quite eagle eye on both sides of the river so try not draw too much attention to yourself otherwise one of the local security companies or residents may come along asking questions. You can park on any of the grass verges in Appelblaar and Hyacinth and take a leisurely stroll to the cache. We hope you enjoy version 2 of Alex's First
