Geocache Description:

Think of the Salty Sea Dog Naval Officers who have passed through the gates of the Royal Australian Naval College - HMAS Creswell. They would have surveyed this ground thousands of times as they were physically trained by their Instructors on Captains Beach. For some this view would be one of salvation and for others it was no doubt just another lap of an endless running trail. Enjoy the whitest sands in the world and some of the most beautiful sights.

You don't need to be in the Navy to enjoy this geocaching experience. Jervis Bay is synonymous with military activity in the form of Warships sailing in and out, Commandos parachuting in to the water and the Airforce practicing their bombing techniques on Beecroft Peninsula. But right next door are some of the most idyllic holiday locations in the world. Whether you want to scuba dive, snorkel, fish or just enjoy the pristine conditions of Jervis Bay and Booderee National Park, time will stop and nature will dictate your routine. Captains Beach abuts HMAS Creswell but is happily accessible to the public via the beach from Green Patch... Iluka Rd carpark. This geocache aims to expose you to the beautiful northern end of Captains Beach knowing that once you have found the cache, you can take a dip in the crystal clear water and if you are keen, you can snorkel up to the rocky point just before the Breakwater and frolic with the prolific fish life. FTF will earn a collectable trackable. Please note the instructions the kids of HAMELOC have left on geocaching.com where the collectable is registered. We hope it has a long and exciting journey and we hope that you enjoy this experience and this wonderful part of Australia.
