Westbourne Methodist Church is situated in the Stranton area of Hartlepool just off the A689 Tesco roundabout.
The first building on the present site was the 'Tin Chapel' built in 1885.
The current building was dedicated in 1906, During the Second World War the church building was badly damaged and worship continued in the schoolrooms.
Unfortunately the church had to be demolished in 1999 and the schoolrooms were again refurbished as a worship centre which was re-dedicated in May 2000.
The church is a member of the Hartlepool Town Centre Churches Together who meets regularly to promote Christian outreach to the residents of Hartlepool.
