Geocache Description:

Annand Park was renamed Burnie Brae park by the Brisbane City Council in 1997.

Burnie Brae was the name of the family home of Andrew and Margaret Hamilton who emigrated, to the area, from England in the 1860's. The homestead was resumed by the council for public housing in 1947 and was subsequently demolished in 1952.  The land was then re-purposed as a park.


This is a great park to take the dog for a run, let the kids play, fly a kite, or learn some history of the Chermside district.

Make sure to check out the Burnie Brae community garden whilst you are in the area.

Cache is a micro camoflagued in a small.  Do not force the container - it should unscrew. BYOP and no room for swaps
