Geocache Description:

Snag this Big Red cache while you're at a game or something!

This cache is definitely easy to spot once you get to the right location.  Whenever I get to this part of campus I always flash back to my days driving the bus for various sports teams.  I seem to recall driving for at least three different football coaches, and one very volitile basketball coach.  (I never had any issues with Coach Knight, but he was a lousy tipper.)  Anyway, this cache takes you to the edge of a very nice very huge park that will be full of tailgate partiers if there's a game on, so beware of muggles!   The part of the park right behind you (as you face the cache) was, for years, full of small single bedroom mobile home/trailor things donated by the U.S. Gov't after WWII.  (No BS, this is true!)  Graduate students that had families could get one of these for free.  They were pretty primitive, and the area was referred to as The Green Ghetto, since all the trailors were green.  The park used to be way more overgrown.  The part that was open spaces in 1979 when I came to town had all kinds of big clumps of bushes.  I took advantage of that, and would camp down here once in a while before I got a dorm room.  It was the middle of winter and damn cold sleeping in that old Pontiac station wagon.  I'd been laid off from a Conrail spiking crew up in East Chicago and was tricked into signing up for college by my mom and her sister, but that's another story.

Anyway, this one is quick and easy, but have fun.
