If you’re heading North along the trail, there’s a small sign on your left that says “Foot Traffic Welcome, No Motor Vehicles”. (About 330' from the cache.) Follow this path down to the lowland and continue North. The marsh on your left supports several species of plant life native to our East coast that have drifted over to the Great Lakes, skipping all the states in between. It’s called a Coastal Plain Marsh and there are a number of them in this area. Although it blends in well, the cache is in plain site and you shouldn’t have to move anything to spot it.
If you're heading for Deadwood after you leave here, turn around and go back to the main trail the same way you came down. You kin save yerself a lotta bushwackin'.

06-05-20 Due to the high level of water in the area, I've raised the terrain rating a half point. At the end of the footpath, you'll have to do a little bushwackin' to follow the shoreline and keep your feet dry. I've also added waypoints for the footpath and parking.
