A quick drive by cache in Timaru that wont be around long. This cache will be taken down on the 28th Feb (my last day at work) so get in quick. THIS CACHE WILL BE ARCHIVED ON THE 28 FEBRUARY 2017 WHEN I LEAVE MY PLACE OF WORK FOR THE LAST TIME. so get in quick of you want to log it. Cheers
Talbot Park is set in over three hectares of landscaped grounds providing a park-like setting providing a park-like settin. It was opened in August 1906 as the Talbot Fever Hospital, Otipua Rd - for the treatment of infectious diseases. It was named after John Talbot who was chairman of the hospital board when the hospital was built. However in 2017 the facility is closing, so thought a cache to celebrate would be in order. Please dont block the entrance.
