I was working on my 251+ this summer, when Route 125 was being torn up. Twice I made a lengthy trip to find a more remote cache in Hancock--- first it was inaccessible by construction, and later there was no safe parking post construction. Though I failed to find that cache I got to see the village twice, in time for the reopening of the historic 110 year old country store-- a big deal in a small town. I also liked the library, about the size you'd expect for a population of 300 souls. And the old hotel. Hancock Village is enchanting, but had no cache, and could use a PNG. Now it has one. This should be wheelchair friendly, and winter friendly to a point.
Congrats to ferd-o for FTF. For the early finders, you may note the cache container is not perfectly apt for the hiding place. To start out it has some natural camouflage to make it less conspicuous. I am concerned kids might muggle it. If you can camo it to make it less conspicuous, (brown camo tape?) or substitute a container that fits a little better, you are welcome to do so.
Too small for swag. Bring your own pen.
