The venue is in the Aberdeen Harbour Audio Visual suite on the 3rd floor of the Marine Operations Centre.
The Geocaching International Film Festival 2016 provides a chance for Aberdeen Geocachers to share in a world wide experience to see the best Geocaching Films of 2016. There will be a chance to chat and socialise with other local Geocachers and an opportunity to discuss and vote on their favourite films.
The film show should last about an hour and will be broken up into manageable chunks. You are free to bring your own refreshments although please no alcohol.
There will be just the one showing which will be doors open 1:30pm for 2pm start and should be finished by 4pm.
Due to the nature of the venue there needs to be someone on duty at the gate to allow you entry. Once the show starts that person will be watching the films and thus there will be no-one to let you in.
Please ensure you are there on time to be upstairs and in your seat before 2pm.
The venue has been booked free of charge on the basis that we don't disturb the Operational staff in the tower. Thus please wait to be let through the gate by the person on the door and do not use the intercom system. Note too there is no visitor parking inside the gate, those spaces are reserved for operational and pre-registered vehicles.
The location offers excellent views over the city and has a couple of nearby multis you may not have done. The facility has capacity for 30 or so guests so please ensure you can definitely attend before posting, as you would be taking a place from someone else if you say you can attend and don't show up. We will try to accommodate where possible but cannot exceed the fire regulations for the building. Please indicate your availability which showing you wish to attend and the number of adults/children attending (sorry no pets).
