Stop Revive Survive
Stop revive survive is a road safety initiative to help lower the fatalities on our roads. Fatigue is one of the main causes of crashes in rural areas.
The best way to avoid driving tired, is to make sure that you have had adequate sleep before driving. Drivers and motorcyclists can avoid fatigue crashes by recognising the early warning signs.
* yawning * drowsiness
* poor concentration * slow reactions
* sore/tired eyes * boredom
* restlesness * oversteering
Don't wait for a micro sleep, by then its too late. Pull over and stop when its safe to do so, as soon as you experience any of these warning signs. Have a nap ( 20 minutes works best) or stop for a coffee if you are on a short trip. But remember caffeine doesnt work for long and not for everyone.
At GZ you will find a lovely little rest stop along the Hume Freeway, with plenty of room to stretch your legs, and with toilet facilities.
This is our first cache placement and hopefully the start of a Stop Revive Survive series.
** please remember that this cache is located along side a busy 4 lane freeway. Stealth will be required as frequented by travellers day and night **
