This cache is located close to the beautiful Murlough Bay and Fair Head, both of which are in the top 25% of things to do in Ballycastle according to TripAdvisor. If you attempt to find this cache, I hope you get a good day, but weather statistics suggest that the area has rain on approximately 50% of days, so it really is hit or miss!
If you do happen upon a dry day, you will be greeted with beautiful views of Rathlin and Scotland! If however, you happen upon a wet day, look out for The Grey Man*. There are plenty of other ^caches nearby, so why not bring a picnic and make a day of the whole affair!
If you make your way down^ to Murlough Bay, there is a lovely little area just up from the bottom car park on a crag which is like a little safe haven away from it all.
*The Grey Man being a spectre that is supposedly seen when the mist rolls in from the sea and he takes human form up a gully on Fair Head.
Parking at Fair Head or Murlough Bay costs £0 or $0 for any Americans looking for the cache, so there is no excuse not to explore this beautiful area of the North Coast.
