O viaduto Santa Ifigênia foi inaugurado em 1913, com estrutura metálica já moldada, trazida da Bélgica. Liga o Largo de São Bento ao bairro Santa Ifigênia.
Em 1978 o viaduto foi recuperado com peças da mesma empresa que havia fornecido as estruturas originais e, em 1982, foi pintado com as cores do arco-íris.
A Igreja de Santa Ifigênia é uma das mais belas igrejas da capital paulista, mas que sofre muito com a ação do tempo e falta de reparo.
A igreja é dedicada à N. S. da Conceição mas é centro do culto à Santa Ifigênia da Etiópia que é a padroeira daqueles que buscam uma casa própria. No período em que a Catedral da Sé estava sendo construída, o templo serviu como catedral.
