The owner knows the geocache exist and has given permission for it's placement.
I've added an extensive waypoint list if you chose to explore more of the area. It also has references for parking locations and trail enterences.
Make the experience more enjoyable by bringing a flashlight. I find the best time to go is in the evening. As the sun sets, it illuminates a large area of the cavern. Please bring a friend if you plan to explore beyond the main entrance. This is also a great opportunity for cache in, trash out.
There are many secret places in the little communities of Upstate NY that many people here don't know about. This one is in Natural Bridge , NY, a small town of less than 500. Located just 8 miles East of Ft. Drum, home to the 10th Mountain Division.
Natural Bridge Caverns is an underground series of streams that criss -cross under ground then re-emerge and again disappear back under ground.
It is located on Route 3 at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains.
Congrats on your first FTF Little_man71!!!
