The Listener was a cache that I had always hoped to find, but it was archived (correctly so) before I had a chance to investigate. After getting a FTF this morning west of here, I decided to take the short drive east to poke around this really cool. It was very evident that the container was gone (having a spoiler picture in the FTF there made that an easy call). Time to resurrect this hide!
Well, then the question was, "What container to use?" With over 100 containers in the car to choose from, there were many good choices, but I settled on one that will possibly keep the difficulty of the original hide going along with keeping the theme of 'resurrection' going too. The container was one that was archived, but still in place, in KF that I managed to find. It can be a challenge, or it can stick out. Please keep it safely in it's hiding location so it doesn't fall victim to gravity and vanish.
The original text description: "After u cache, Turn to the West to see the listener, as It is not always visible. The area to west, across road is sacred, to the local Natives. Please do not go OVER to the West, do not disturb Psychologist unless you know how to awaken him, ask him to listen, and what his favorite gift is. Enjoy another great view, road ends at river bring a pole."
Word to the wise: the map looks like it shows a bridge from Hwy 140 across the Sprague River onto Sycan Road. Your routing system may, in fact, want to you drive across it. The bridge does not exist. The best way to this cache is to take Godwina Springs Road north out of Beatty and then turn onto Sycan Road. BYOP.
