Originally started as a creamery in the 50's, the name of this business site was DADCO Foods - which was derived from the business owners name of Davis A. Donnelly Company.
Initially the business focused on the creamery industry but in time it changed to a pizza factory who produced Roma Pizza. In doing so, this really was its true claim to fame, eventully employing many of the local people from the Black River Falls and Brockway area. At its zenith, they were making upwards of 70,000 pizzas daily, 7 days a week. During this time, a local favorite beny was having the ability of buying the "reject pizzas" over the front counter for 25 cents a piece. Many a family considered these as a local favorite food supply until they closed the doors in 2000.
The Roma brand pizza was bought out by Bernatello's of Maple Lake, MN, and the doors were closed soon after that.
Sometime after 2000, the building was remodeled and opened up to small businesses. It's now known as the "Rosevelt Plaza", where several small businesses are located.
